Travel The Road, Christian TV

Travel the Road the radical missions organisation and Christian reality TV series have experience the power of God all over the world, proving that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, (Hebrews 13:8).

After several months of travelling with this mission/reality TV ministry, I witnessed the power of God as well as hearing about the miracles from all over the world. Imagine being lost in the jungles of a Communist country, being stalked by lions in Africa, or encountering an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Papua New Guinea, - all of things happened to the Travel The Road missionary guys.

For several months I travelled with Timothy Scott and William Decker throughout Asia and the Pacific. Together we saw the miraculous hand of God and many times God saved Travel the Road from sickness, danger and the attack of the enemy. Travel The Road - an unreached village

‘And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth. Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen’. Matthew 28:18-20.

My Travel The Road Diary

Travel The Road - This is where we slept in the jungle The information on this website is taken from my former website mission diary. Here you will find some brief stories about our mission work throughout Asia and the Pacific.

Travel the Road experienced many miracles from the Lord, and here I share my stories about the Lord's goodness to us and others. - Paul Backholer.

Loas update 25-10-2001

Loas was an amazing journey. We thought that the focus would be ministry, instead it turned out to be trusting God is very difficult situations. After several days journey north, we found a guide and wanted to minister to about five tribes. Travel the Road desires to reach the unreached and so this was a great place to be. The first walk would take four hours, seven hours later we were fully lost in the Laos jungle. The guide was cutting a new path and the path was cutting us up also! Then I fell about fifteen feet!

Travel The Road - Travelling in the developed world We crawled on our hands and knees to the top of a mountain and became extremely tired, but God got us to the path and we then knew we were going somewhere! It led to a hut where we spent the night.

The next day, we were all very weak because of the past day. We needed to get home to get better. In a village on the way home, I was very ill, and lying in a bed in a hut, I could not sit up without hurting! When we realised there was no horse that could take me home, I decided to walk, asking for God's help. I was strengthened by God and walked uphill for five hours, until we got home.

Miracles

1. Nothing broken through falling fifteen feet.
2. Finding the path.
3. A hut for the night.
4. Supernatural strength to go from sickness to five hours hike up and down Laos mountains.

We were all sad that we did not get to preach in the villages as Travel The Road desired to, but we trust we were fully in God's will. I managed to witness a few times to people 100% unreached. Who did not even know the name 'Jesus' or the concepts of sin or forgiveness.

God was showing me through these experiences that no mater how extreme the circumstances, He is in control, He has grace and help ready just when we need it. Praise Him.

Malaysia update 4-11-2001

At one in the morning, everyone was woken up as our coach crashed into the van in front. No one was hurt, but the front of the coach was crushed, and we could not go on. The next one would be coming in three hours, which turned out to be seven! After being told to get off I went to sleep on the side of the road, later I got back on the coach which was steaming hot. Leaving Thailand was proving to be hard.

Travel The Road - Reaching the unreached The train ride the next day was going to arrive at eight p.m, at three am the next day we arrived in Ipoh, Malaysia. From the first day we arrived we had ministry opportunities. The people everywhere were so hungry for the Word of God and many believers wanted prayer by the laying on of hands after the meeting.

A few times I was very weary and just wanted to go to bed, but I remembered the days that I wanted prayer like they did and so I pushed on. We got back about one am that morning. We spoke in churches, house groups and even in a pig farm! It was nice that Travel The Road could work with local missionaries and church leaders.

Indonesia update 12-11-2001

Travel The Road - Tim Scott and William Decker Travel The Road received a Macodonian call, "Come over here and help us" from some missionaries, we concluded that it was God's will for us to come to Indonesia.

So, after a four hour boat ride we arrived on the Island of Sumatra. Straight away we went to a pastor's house, and arranged a schedule. They were very excited, and so many opportunities came our way. I greatly enjoyed a youth meeting I got to speak at. The young people were so on fire for Jesus and the worship was amazing.

Papua New Guinea 25-02-2002

From canoeing to the most remote areas of the country, to flying with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). Travel The Road had a really amazing view of the country and saw the great blessings of the Lord wherever we went.

Going from village to village we worked with local leaders and missionaries. One day we saw an amazing outpouring of the Spirit, someone got healed and the people wept bitterly in repentance. It reminded me of when I visited Pensacola in 1997.
Travelling was hard here. Sometimes we would fly, that was great. Most times we had to travel on a bus, with very little room and bumpy roads. We would hike at other times.

We had an amazing time there, which I will not forget. The work of God is moving forward in PNG.
