We are designed for purpose.
Every person has a desire for purpose established within his or her heart, but if one does not find that purpose, it leaves
him or her thinking, ‘There must be more to life than this.’ We were never designed to be self-centred, conceited,
egotistical consumers.
The feeling of discontentment is God’s calling card; it is His reminder that He has a specific role for each
person. That call can be doubted, ignored, or even resisted, but it can never be snubbed out.
The world can drown the sound out, sin can mar it, friends can laugh it off, family can show contempt of it, but
like a human heart beat, it does not go away forever until death. Deep down it is still there…calling out to
 you.
We all must find the purpose that God has for us, rarely does it find us. But the purpose is not found
by endless searching, it is found in surrender. Only when we surrender our lives to the Lord and allow Him to
direct our every step, can we be led into the perfect and pleasing will He has for us.
It won’t be easy, but easy soon gets boring; and when you find yourself in the centre of His will, you will
experience a deep peace in your heart. Soon you’ll discover that purpose found you and that purpose was
in Christ.
‘For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should
walk in them’ (Ephesians 2:10).
