Total Surrender Every Christian wants to do something more with their life, than just pass through trying to survive! As a teenager I wanted to have a real purpose in my life and God gave me the offer of discipleship. His challenge was this, “Will you surrender your entire life to Me - your future, your friendships, your money, your work, your education…your everything!” It was a challenge that I was willing to take. We cannot fulfil our destiny if we have not decided (once and for all) that Christ calls the shots in our life. When He speaks, we must obey; a true disciple has no choice but to obey their master. People worry about giving everything to God, but I believe He is good. Yes, there will be trials, pruning and difficulties, but when God takes your prospects, He takes your problems as well! It hasn’t been easy and at times I thought the cost was too high; yet it has also been a great fulfilling adventure. ‘…Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.’ Romans 12:1b.
