Making Life Happen In Christ Is life happening to you or are you making life happen? Christians, like all other people have limited control over their lives. We are all subject to varying pressures and obligations that check and change us. Only God is able to control all things and only He has the ability to take full charge of our lives. We are all in danger of drifting endlessly through our years letting life happen to us, but the Bible teaches that God has a plan and purpose for us all. We can either let life happen to us, or we can trust in God, and let His purpose for our lives come to pass. Where will you be in 1, 5, or 10 years from now? Will you let life take you where it will, or will you let Christ Jesus be your Lord, your Guide and your Master? Jesus may be your Saviour, but is He your Lord? Sin will make life happen to us and if we are its slaves, we will be controlled by it and we will have to pick up the pieces of our defaced lives one by one. But the Lord wants to guide us and teach us in the way we should go and by following Him, we won’t be victims of life, but victors in life. Why not dwell on these words from the Lord? ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eyes. Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you’ Psalm 32:8-9. Paul Backholer Back |
